We design the
architecture of
transformation.

Future Focus Solutions builds mentoring, violence-prevention, reentry, and youth-development programs that hold up to scrutiny. Our founder grew Reach, a school-based mentoring program in the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, from 6 schools to 23 schools in four years.

01Company Overview

We provide consulting, training, technical assistance, public speaking, curriculum development, and program evaluation for organizations serving youth impacted by trauma, violence, poverty, school disengagement, and the justice system.

Our work helps organizations create structured, credible, and measurable programs that support positive behavior, emotional development, accountability, leadership, and long-term success — programs that can be replicated across locations and defended to funders.

06Why Future Focus Solutions
Aakeem Woodard, founder and principal consultant of Future Focus Solutions

FOUNDER

Aakeem Woodard

Professional expertise and lived experience, rarely found in one place.

Aakeem Woodard understands youth development from eight vantage points at once. That perspective lets Future Focus Solutions design strategies that are practical, credible, culturally responsive, and connected to the realities young people actually face.

He is the founder and principal consultant, author of Trapped Inside Myself: The Aakeem Woodard Story, and the architect of the Rewritten Futures framework.

Aakeem was also the first person hired with a felony background to work for the Department of Juvenile Justice, and the first person to be hired to work for the Fulton County District Attorney's office — proof that a rewritten future is not a metaphor, but a path he has walked.

He was also the first person hired to work as a sentencing consultant for the Fulton County Public Defender's Office Conflict Unit — a position Mr. Woodard created out of a recognized need, bridging attorneys and the young people they represent for stronger, more human sentencing presentations.

“
He speaks with a credibility you can't manufacture. Our staff heard from someone who has lived this work on both sides of the system, and it changed how we approach our young people.

Deputy Director

Department of Juvenile Justice

“
Aakeem helped us move our mentoring program from a good idea to a defensible structure. Funders who used to ask 'why' now ask 'how soon can you scale.'

Program Director

Youth-Serving Nonprofit

“
The Rewritten Futures framework gave us a language for what we were trying to build. Our reentry plan went from aspirational to measurable in one engagement.

Reentry Coordinator

Probation Agency

“
As a sentencing consultant he bridged a gap our office had struggled with for years. Young clients finally had someone who could translate their story into something the court could hear.

Assistant Public Defender

Fulton County Conflict Unit

“
We brought Aakeem in to train our mentors and he restructured the entire cohort model. Six months in, our retention is up and our incident reports are down.

Mentoring Program Manager

Community-Based Nonprofit

“
The curriculum is grounded, culturally responsive, and built for the realities of court-involved youth. Our facilitators run it with confidence because it was designed by someone who understands the population.
